The Lindy HDMI 90° downward angled adapter is a compact solution for connecting HDMI cables to HDMI displays or devices with recessed ports, or within limited space where cable connector sizing may affect installation. This adapter allows for a 90° connection in a downward direction if ports are situated on the back of the display or PC.
This is an ideal tool within wall mounted digital signage installations, gaming setups or educational spaces, with no lasting impact on a connected cables strain relief or lifespan. In installations where the cable connection is frequently disconnected and reconnected (e.g. in the area of hardware testing), the adapter can be used to extend the lifespan of the actual ports on the devices.
Please note: it is common for desktop PCs to have HDMI ports function in the opposite configuration. If this is applicable, please check whether this or the opposing adapter (41086) is required.
"Blocks HDMI CEC signals when there is an incompatibility
Use this adapter when you have problems with incompatibilities between IR remote controls; such problems tend to occur now and then in installations with HDMI splitters and -switches.
The adapter does not pass on the CEC signal further. In principle, you only need to use this adapter upstream of the incompatible devices. However, several adapters installed upstream of a number of devices can be used.
